Help me identify this opera?

It's been stuck in my head for most of the week, and I've tried
googling it, but I haven't had any success.

Do these phrases mean anything to you?
"How does he learn his operatic roles?"
"What of the cytoarchitechtonic?"
"...was silent so he put his arm round the shoulder of a..."
"Te-te-te-te-te-..."

I think it might've been contemporary, but I'm not positive. I can't
put my finger on it.
